Luossabacken is a ski resort in the middle of Kiruna which has three lifts (2 of which are in use), four slopes and a park with jumps and rails. Total piste length is 2500 meters and a vertical drop of 156 meters.
Ski-in/ski-out access, a sauna, and free WiFi in public areas are featured at Icehotel. There's free parking, and an airport shuttle at scheduled times for SEK 275.00 per person one-way. Front-desk staff can assist with tours or tickets, dry cleaning/laundry, and luggage storage.

Luossavaara offers a normal variation and good skiing conditions from the middle of November up until the end of April.
The ski slope usually is closed if it is colder than -20 or when it is too windy. No wind, but really cold. Their Facebook page had not updated anything about it though so we walked the 800m to the slope from Malin’s apartment. The mountain Luossavaara lies on an old abandoned mine and only had basically two slopes going down. One lift.
